How I’m wearing the ruffle trend (with links to ASOS)

Guys. Can we talk about this ruffle skirt. I wore it to a cute brunch and movie day this week and seriously I never want to take it off. It makes me feel like Cinderella in a ball gown everytime I take a step. It’s one of those skirts that is really pretty and flowy when you move and I just cannot get enough. I’ve paired the skirt with more casual items in my wardrobe in an attempt to dress it down a little (because my life is casual like that). I want to be able to wear it to a casual day out.

In the first outfit, I featured the skirt with the red Everlane day heels as well as a denim shirt and a Furla bag.

In the second outfit, I wore a black Uniqlo cashmere v-neck, a pink Coach cross body and some black pointy toe boots.

Definitely more dressy than my average outfit  (think Denim jeans and whatever sweater closest to my bed) but it’s still very wearable on a normal day.

Did I mention that the skirt feels quite elongating on my shortness. I’m about 5’3 or 160 cm and while it’s definitely long on me, it doesn’t seem to make me look too short and petite which is always good in my books. The exact one I wore is from Lost Ink and is still available on ASOS in some sizes as I write. If not, there are very similar alternatives linked below for you to shop!
