Lookbook: Three Wardrobe Must Haves

Having a solid foundation of wardrobe staples means that getting ready in the morning is a thousand times easier. From capsule wardrobes to the 5 piece French wardrobe series, the world is realising that too much is not necessarily the best option.

Deciding what to wear when the weather swings from frigid to blazing hot or vice versa is a pain for us all. One day we’re pulling out last year’s winter gear, the next, we’re wearing the clothes we’ve already started to put away. In Sydney, it’s gradually getting colder as we move into Autumn. I’ve put together a few looks that are perfect for this in between the seasons period of our year. Check out my capsule wardrobe challenge here for more ideas.

  1. A White Dress
  2. Little Black Dress
  3. Sweater and Culotte Pair

Staple No.1: The White dress

I found this at Zara and it’s safe to say that I’ve gotten my money worth out of this. I throw this on whenever I don’t know what to wear. It’s easy, brings me joy and is definitely a perfect item moving in between the seasons.

Staple No.2: Little Black Dress.

Of course. But I love this little cami dress as I can layer it over tops in the colder months and wear it alone in Summer/Spring. I love the straps that it comes with and the cut is just very flattering.

Staple No.3: Culottes.

Not joking but I could live in these for the rest of my life. They are just so easy and so effortless. I love the way they look with heels and with Nikes. Culottes are a definite staple in any wardrobe.
