Review: Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Moisturiser

This moisturiser is so heavenly to use. I think there was an Origins hype a while ago on Youtube where everyone seemed to be using an Origins moisturiser. I tried it for myself and decided that it was perfect for my unbalanced and problematic skin. If you’ve read my skincare favourites post, then you will know that I like products to be hydrating but at the same time, not heavy or oily. My skin ranges from acne-prone to sensitive and dry and this moisturiser has seemed to work with every condition I’ve had.

The cream is quite rich and hydrating but it spreads easily and is quickly absorbed into the skin. I can’t feel it after about fifteen minutes and is incredibly comforting to use at night. You truly feel as if your skin is quenched. For comparison sake, it is heavier than something like the Clinique gel moisturiser and it is not as heavy as Drunk Elephant’s whipped cream.

This might be slightly off putting for some who don’t like fragrance in their skincare. The scent is quite detectable and smells of a pleasant citrus. It’s not overly strong in my opinion as I do not like heavy fragrances on my face either. It’s similar to the Origins Drink Me Up Overnight Mask.

I mean, it’s not organic or ‘green’ but I do think it is fairly good at including antioxidants, leaving out mineral oil, parabens… It includes ‘Rose of Jericho, Lychee and Watermelon’. That sounds heavenly.

I’ve been using this while being on Roaccutane and it’s been surprisingly good at balancing my skin. Whenever I get itchy dry patches, it seems to do a good job calming my skin down. When I use it under makeup, it sits well during the day. I have two bottles because I loved it so much that I bought my mum a tub. She has more mature skin and has been loving it because it keeps her skin hydrated and plump looking.

I’m about to repurchase two tubs. I would definitely recommend giving this cream a try.

Note: There are quite a few versions of this cream and the packaging is deceivingly similar. There is the rejuvenating treatment which is a lighter version. There is the night version which is heavier and another version for more combination skin.
