What I Wore: Red Gingham Trend

I cannot get enough of red dresses. If I don’t stop with this addiction by wardrobe will soon have nothing else at all. This little number has been a good find on ASOS- it combines a subtle gingham print with a bright poppy colour. It is so feminine, so girly and perfect for a weekend exploring a new part of my city.

From planning a holiday, I realised just how much of Sydney I have not seen. Sometimes I get stuck in a cycle, going to the same restaurants, doing the same things day in, day out. I decided to explore somewhere a little different, a little garden that’s like a sanctuary in the heart of Sydney.

For these photos, I paired the red dress with frilly sleeves and a swing style with black mules. These shoes look high but are surprisingly comfortable because of their block heel. I don’t think I will ever not love wearing mules. They are so comfortable, so effortless and I’ve acquired a few too many to justify. As for accessories, I have the Kenzo wallet on chain which is a cute little bag for when you only need the bare essentials.

The pink trench is a good addition to this outfit. I never used to light pink and red and found them overwhelming and clashy together. But lately, it seems to be a go to combination.
