COS clothing, what to buy from COS, COS essentials

COS has been one of my long time loves ever since visiting the Rue des Rosiers store in Paris two years ago! So I thought it would be the perfect time to make a video featuring some of my favourite items from COS and a guide to COS!

From cotton poplins to luxurious cashmeres and everything in between, it’s hard to pass COS without temptation. I’ve always been one to care about good designs that combine classic and contemporary elements. Coupled with fabrics made to last, COS stores are a real delight whenever I have the time to pop in!

On the corner of one of Sydney’s busiest streets, you’ll find me lusting over their clean white shirts, crisp cotton poplin dresses and soft knits.

But as a starter guide, I’ll narrow it down to the following!

A good COS coat

While my coat is a heavy cotton, I’ve just about loved every coat I’ve laid my eyes on at COS. They carry a lot of oversized coats in boxy shapes which is EXACTLY, how I like my coats to fit. There’s nothing like being restricted around the arms in a winter coat when you’ve worn a few too many layers. I definitely have one on my wish list and my current COS coat has been loved for over a year and is still going strong without any wear or tear.

I’ve clearly tried my fair share of COS cardigans and that’s purely down to the fact that they are so damn luxurious! I should mention also that I usually pick them up at 50% off sales making them gorgeously soft and a treat on the wallet. Think merino wools, cashmeres and quality that’s built to last.

A shirt dress

I feel like shirt dresses are a signature for the brand. From midi and maxi length shirt dresses to knee length button downs, they’ve got it all. I personally am always drawn to shirt dresses no matter how unflattering they might be. It’s the ease of being able to throw something on and leave the house that always gets to me.

Workwear of all sorts

As someone who’s just started a 9-5 job with actual corporate attire, I’ve definitely repurposed a lot of my COS pieces into workwear. Their white shirts are a real work horse and they do the most gorgeous pieces in black that make any outfit look polished and ready for the office. If I’m not careful, I can easily see COS taking over my workwear wardrobe!
