Styling the Everlane 90s Cheeky Straight Jean

I’ve been looking for a pair of white jeans for quite some time now, and when I saw the Everlane Cheeky Jean, I knew I had to test out this classic wardrobe item.

I adore a straight fit jean and very rarely gravitate away from the straight fit. But when it comes to white, I was a bit nervous to see how everything would fit as white can be less slimming than other colours. My pair is in a size 24 waist in the regular length (I’m 160 cm or 5’3). I definitely could have gone with an ankle pair for a 7/8 fit. The regular length is exactly that on me. Full length with the option of being rolled up for a casual look. Size wise, I do always take one size down for Everlane denim, and so far, so good. I was honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed this style and colour of denim trousers.

Everlane denim gets better with every launch. As much as I loved the original cheeky jean, the 90s version is a thicker, more traditional non-stretch kind of material which I actually prefer. I love the aesthetic and fit of a rigid pair of denim. However, the original cheeky is definitely better for a more comfortable fit as there’s much more stretch to the material.

Quality wise, assuming I don’t spill a coffee over these white denim, I can see these jeans lasting a long time. The construction feels sturdy and overall, the quality is just there. If you want to see the jeans in action, I style them in a few different ways in my latest lookbook linked above.
